Miele TipsFilter at the bottom — at least once a month remove and rinse the combined filter under warm running water; food residue collects here and causes odours and poorer washing. Spray arms — check and clear the jets on the upper and lower arms if blocked by food residue or limescale. Door seals — wipe with a damp cloth so they seal well and stay clean. Reactivation salt — top up the salt reservoir regularly; salt softens the water and prevents limescale and spots on dishes. Rinse aid — ensures fast, streak-free drying. AutoDos / PowerDisk — on auto-dosing models use the genuine Miele PowerDisk for optimal results. Miele DishClean / IntenseClean — occasionally run a cleaning program with Miele's product to degrease and remove limescale and deposits. Empty hot cycle — occasionally run an empty program at the highest temperature for a deep clean of the interior. Scrape off coarse residue before loading (pre-rinsing isn't necessary). Leave the door ajar after a cycle so the interior dries.
